Pastel Marbling
Materials
- 3” deep Tray 
- Water 
- Oil Pastels 
- Plastic knife 
- Watercolor Paper 
Process
- Fill the tray with water. 
- Use the plastic knife to shave oil pastel into the water. Add as many colors as you want. 
- Bow the paper to gently dip it into the water. 
- Lightly tap the paper to fully cover 
- Pull paper out and set aside to dry. 
My Experience
I love this method of marbling. It is simple in method and materials, technically easy and yields vibrant, rewarding results.
Classroom Application
This would be great for classes from early child hood through elementary school due the accessibility of the materials, ease of process and quick clean up. It would also be a rewarding thing for kids to achieve.
